Uber

I manage Uber in nine countries and have a decent overview of chambers of commerce. I must admit that AmCham in Poland is at my personal top. I also strongly aspire to further improve it by enhancing its value proposition, especially now in the times of structural (geo-)political changes in Poland, the USA, and the broader CEE region, which can bring a lot of uncertainty to AmCham.

Organizations competing with AmCham are constantly improving. To keep up the pace, we need to innovate. My strong hypothesis is that we should build a “second leg”, which will deliver value in personal growth and development of the critical talent of member companies.

The flagship “30 under 30” program is excellent. Still, the chamber can offer more of the kind: dedicated employee training modules, participation in joint pro-bono projects, discussions with peers from other companies, experience-sharing sessions, cross-company mentorship programs, etc. I believe that such a value proposition would be appreciated by the top management of member companies and their employees (especially from the Gen-Z cohort).

This ambition can only be achieved with a strong, competitively compensated team of AmCham employees, which, in my opinion, should also be the key focus area.

Uber, an iconic American brand and a long-standing AmCham sponsor, is perfectly positioned to represent AmCham. My hands-on experience leading a fast-paced, hyper-competitive company and multiple years in top management consulting will be useful in supercharging the Chamber with new ideas and a data-driven approach to making decisions.
