David is a corporate/M&A lawyer focused on special situations/stress and distressed for hedge funds.  Unlike many, his focus is often on the cross-border aspects of transactions and special situation investments, which often require, and have given him expertise in crafting,  multi-faceted strategy involving both litigation and transactional expertise.

David teaches an M&A seminar at SWPS in Warsaw and previously taught at Łazarski University.  He is chairman of the Supervisory Board of Octava S.A., a publicly traded real estate fund, a member of the board of the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Japan, and vice chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland.  David is treasury officer and President elect of Globalaw (www.globalaw.net) a worldwide affiliation of boutique law firms.

An attorney of the State of New York since 2001, entered on the list of foreign lawyers at the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors in Warsaw, and on the list of arbitrators at the Court of Arbitration at the National Chamber of Commerce.

From 1996-1997, David served as a law clerk to the Honorable James G. Carr (US District Court, Northern District of Ohio). Between 1997 – 2004, he cooperated with the Warsaw and New York offices of Salans (the predecessor firm to Dentons), before setting up DeBenedetti Majewski Szcześniak with his partners.
