COVID-19 has changed investment strategies, policy plans and the public perception of potential threats caused by pandemics, but it has certainly not changed the assumptions and plans for good climate policy. The Green Package can stabilize the European economy after the COVID-19 pandemic and put it on a more sustainable and low carbon footing level. The package will be beneficial if politicians and businesses treat the crisis as a basis for smart investment strategies based on the UN sustainable development goals and UN climate policy.
On behalf of the AmCham Sustainability Committee we invite you to a webinar about "What comes after COVID-19? Is the climate change and the green investment package for Europe an opportunity to recover from the economic slowdown?" Our speaker will be Mr. Kamil Wyszkowski, President of the Board of Global Compact Network Poland. During the webinar he will be discussing about:
- The climate change and COVID-19 – challenges and global perspective;
- UN climate policy – potential trends for businesses and opportunities to emerge from the crisis.
