🇪🇺 Pay Transparency in Focus – AmCham Wrocław Meeting
American Chamber of Commerce in Poland and Solventum Poland co-hosted an insightful session in Wrocław dedicated to the implementation of EU Directive 2023/970 on pay transparency and equal pay.
We had the pleasure of hearing from Michał Chodkowski, Partner at Łaszczuk & Partners, who delivered a comprehensive keynote on the Directive’s legal implications and the upcoming changes to the Polish Labour Code. His presentation highlighted the practical steps employers must take to ensure compliance, including:
🔹 Transparent salary ranges in job postings
🔹 Gender-neutral recruitment practices
🔹 Prohibition of salary history inquiries
🔹 Mandatory gender pay gap reporting for companies with 100+ employees
Poland has already begun transposing the Directive, with pre-employment transparency obligations taking effect from 24 December 2025, and full implementation expected by 7 June 2026.
This Directive marks a significant step toward closing the gender pay gap and fostering fairness, transparency, and accountability in the workplace. The AmCham meeting provided a valuable platform for dialogue among HR professionals, legal experts, and business leaders on how to navigate these changes effectively.
