On September 12, 2024, the AmCham HR Committee held a meeting entitled “To Investigate or Not to Investigate – That is the Question!” regarding the whistleblowing and Whistleblowers act.
Our speakers were lawyers from Wardynski & Partners - Lukasz Lasek, Weronika Nalbert, and Filip Rak. Together, we discussed whistleblowing as a component of law enforcement and an effective tool for detecting misconduct. We delved into the types of violations that can be reported and what this process should look like. We also touched upon Whistleblowers act and what it brings for employers and employees. Last but not least, we talked about weaponized whistleblowing and misuse of the mechanisms, and how to protect your company in situations like this.
