How long can tax audits last? What should businesses be cautious about during verification processes and what is the best strategy during inspection? These and other issues have been discussed during last AmCham Tax & Financial Services Committee’s meeting entitled Tax Audits in 2025 - Expectations and Tax Authorities' Plans.

Our speakers were from PwC, AmCham member company, Andrzej Zubik, Partner and Michal Potyrala, Director and we have discussed the most up-to-date practical topics regarding tax audits, including main areas of tax authorities' interest regarding multinationals, factors increasing the risk of initiation of a tax audits, and finally best strategies for conducting the dispute.

Speaking about the official directions for action and development for the years 2025-2028, the National Revenue Administration will focus among others on effective collection of taxes and conducting the effective tax audits with the main areas of interest focused on withholding tax (WHT), transfer pricing, GAAR and VAT.

In the Q&A session, participants asked questions about main stages of preparation for the inspection, rights and obligations during the audit and best strategy of behavior during the inspection.
