Transfer pricing is crucial for supporting global supply chains and ensuring compliance with national and international tax regulations. However, recent tariff developments have introduced significant disruptions to established transfer pricing policies, creating challenges and opportunities for multinational enterprises.
On October 23, 2025, these topics have been discussed at AmCham Tax & Financial Services Committee’s meeting with representatives of KPMG, an AmCham member company, Katarzyna Darska, Partner Associate, Natalia Księżarek, Senior Manager, and Katarzyna Kędzierska, Tax Manager. The discussion addressed the effects of increasing tariffs and customs duties on business restructuring, including function transfers, licensing agreements, and contract terminations. Our speakers underlined that the low level of awareness in Poland regarding the impact of customs duties on international transactions can lead to unexpected costs, delays, and penalties, and emphasized the necessity of monitoring legal developments and foreign decisions that may have implications for local regulations.
