The role of the office is rapidly evolving—from a purely operational space into a strategic driver of business performance, company culture, and employee well-being.
On May 26, during the AmCham Real Estate and HR Committee meeting, we discussed how hybrid work models continue to reshape organizations and redefine expectations for the workplace. The session featured insightful presentations by Dorota Osiecka, Partner, and Wojciech Tworek, Senior Associate at Colliers, who shared market trends and perspectives on how office location strategies, workplace design, and flexible work environments can directly influence employee engagement, productivity, retention, and organizational culture.
The discussion also highlighted the growing role of HR in shaping the work environment as a key driver of business performance. Participants exchanged views on the opportunities and challenges associated with hybrid work, including communication and collaboration within remote teams, onboarding new employees, and maintaining employee well-being amid increasing concerns about stress and burnout.
A key takeaway from the meeting was clear: flexibility has become one of the most important expectations employees have of their employers today, and organizations that successfully adapt their workplace strategies can turn hybrid work into an opportunity for innovation and growth.
