AmCham Industry Committee and 3M SuperHub in Wrocław hosted another edition of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Roundtable, bringing together industry leaders, public institutions, and workplace safety experts to discuss key challenges and opportunities related to workplace safety in the industrial sector.

The meeting focused on the exchange of best practices, current regulatory and operational challenges, and effective approaches to building a strong culture of safety and health in the workplace. EHS leaders representing sectors including metallurgy, energy, automotive, aerospace, food production, manufacturing, and e-commerce emphasized the critical role employers play in educating employees and promoting safe workplace behaviors through a variety of training and engagement tools.

Participants shared practical experiences and recommendations for strengthening occupational safety standards across industries. Representatives from Toyota, GE Aerospace/Xeos, PepsiCo, Amazon, Beko Europe, PGE Baltica, KGHM Polska Miedź, Pracodawcy Polska Miedź, and the Silesian Chamber of Commerce contributed valuable insights on safety management, workforce engagement, and emerging industry challenges.

The discussion was enriched by the participation of Zbigniew Janowski, Vice Chair of the Parliamentary Council for Labour Protection, who outlined the Council’s ongoing work and recommendations aimed at improving workplace safety and health regulations in Poland. Agata Kostyk-Lewandowska, Director of the Training Centre of the National Labour Inspectorate, highlighted the importance of close cooperation between training institutions and employers in addressing new technologies and emerging workplace risks.

The roundtable was moderated by Dr. Rafał Hrynyk, who underscored the importance of properly selected personal protective equipment and its role in supporting effective workplace safety programs. Participants also had the opportunity to learn about safety initiatives implemented at the 3M SuperHub in Wrocław and explore innovative workplace safety solutions showcased at the 3M Innovation Center.

The event provided a valuable platform for dialogue between industry, employers, and public institutions, reinforcing a shared commitment to fostering safer and healthier workplaces across Poland's industrial sector.
