EVENT DETAILS
Last Friday, June 7, AmCham Kraków organized a meeting dedicated to micro-credentials – which are becoming increasingly popular in educational and business environments to support lifelong learning concept. Mateusz Jurczyk, AmCham Kraków Branch Director and Barbara Stepnowska, (online), Gdańsk Branch Director and AmCham EDU Group lead opened the meeting.
Michał Nowakowski from Educational Research Institute, that is responsible for the introduction of the micro-credentials idea in Poland and has created the ‘Badge+’ (‘Odznaka+’) application for issuing, sharing, and collecting digital micro-credentials using the international Open Badges standard, took us through the origins, aims and details of the program. Following his detailed introduction, Stanisław Cieśla and Roman Krzos deliberated on the actual use of the micro-credentials at Kyndryl, which already successfully implemented that concept in their company.
Thank you Michał, Stanisław and Roman for bringing the topic closer to us. We can already confirm we will continue discussing the idea of the micro-credentials with the AmCham EDU group.
Thank you Eurokreator and especially Rafal Kunaszyk for hosting us in your space in Krakow.
