The way we approach artificial intelligence will define the world we will live in the future. On November 7, 2023, the AmCham Digital Committee met to discuss three main regulations that strongly impact the future business models of digital companies - the AI Act, the Digital Markets Act, and the Digital Services Act. We hosted representatives of the major government institutions: Marianna Sidoroff, Director of the Digital Economy Department at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology; Robert Kroplewski, Plenipotentiary of the Polish Minister of Digital Affairs for Information Society; Magdalena Malinowska - Wójcicka, Legal Counsel, the Ministry of Digital Affairs and representatives of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM): Piotr Kobielski and Łukasz Mieszkowski, Counsels of the Economic Department.
To help build a resilient Europe for the digital decade, all speakers underlined the value of synergies with business and the necessity of simplifying and harmonizing the digital regulations, including consistency of the sectoral regulations. Our discussion included also topics of the high-risk models of AI, establishing the Digital Decade Policy Program 2030, and the main assumptions for the Polish EU Presidency in 2025.
