On March, 26, 2025, we had the honor of meeting with Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of Warsaw and candidate for the office of President of Poland.
This meeting marks the first in a series of discussions with presidential candidates organized by AmCham. Our invitation to participate has been extended to all candidates who have registered thus far.
During the meeting moderated by Marta Poslad, AmCham Chairwoman, we discussed key topics such as the future of transatlantic relations, investment conditions in Poland, and the impact of U.S. investments on Poland's security. We also explored these issues through the lens of Poland's priorities as it holds the presidency of the EU Council.
Mayor Trzaskowski emphasized the importance of linking defense and industry, stating, "Let's create a connection between defense and innovation." He also underscored the need for a trade agreement between the U.S. and the EU, rather than engaging in a trade war. He stressed that U.S. investors are critical to Poland's economy across all sectors.
Mayor Trzaskowski further highlighted the synergy in strengthening Poland’s relationship with the U.S. while reinforcing Poland's role as a key member of the EU. He also pointed out that more responsibility should be placed on U.S. companies operating in Poland, noting that Poland is crucial for U.S. investments in every sector.
At the meeting, representatives from various sectors were present, highlighting the broad interest in these discussions.
