EVENT DETAILS

AMCHAM Defense Committee members are invited to join the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA)-Warsaw, for a closed-door roundtable discussion featuring CEPA's Brian Whitmore, Senior Fellow and Director of the Russia Program.

In his report Putin's Dark Ecosystem, Brian Whitmore says that "Russian malign influence does not operate in a vacuum. Moscow's efforts to meddle in elections, peddle disinformation, sow discord and confusion, and poison political discourse tend to flourish within a broader context and environment – one that facilitates and enables the disruption of normal democratic governance. Putin's brand of political warfare tends to thrive in a dark ecosystem amidst networks of influence that support such activity." The question is: what can democracies in North America, Europe, and beyond do to defend our institutions and people from "Vladimir Putin's political shenanigans?"

CEPA-Warsaw is honored to welcome Brian Whitmore for a timely discussion on Russian malign influence, challenges in Ukraine, and Russia's Near Abroad and impacts of increased U.S. presence on NATO's Eastern Flank, in a conversation moderated by CEPA Warsaw Director Ray Wojcik.

The meeting will take place on Friday, June 28 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the American Center, ul. Rektorska 4.
