On Monday, November 18th, 2024, the AmCham Agri, Food & FMCG Committee hosted Maciej Golubiewski, the European Commission Official, former Head of Cabinet of Commissioner for Agriculture, and former Consul General of Poland in New York. We have started with the general overview of the EU agri-food priorities in its trade relations with the U.S. and followed up with setting the landscape of the current political situation after the presidential election in the U.S., the war in Ukraine, and the Polish Presidency in the European Union. Some questions from participants regarded the current status of the European Green Deal, the Common Agricultural Policy, the Young Farmers program, and generally, how the European Union should respond to the challenges facing the agriculture sector in the coming years.
