On March 11, we had a pleasure to host our March Monthly Meeting with Filip Czernicki, CEO of Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK), who shared insights into the strategic vision behind the project and its importance for Poland’s long-term economic development and international investment.
The meeting was moderated by Honorata Hencel, AmCham Board Member and Managing Director of Boeing Poland & Ukraine. During our discussion, we learned more about the scale and ambition of the CPK program, which integrates a new international airport with an extensive high-speed rail network and supporting infrastructure. The project aims to strengthen Poland’s connectivity across the country and with global markets, while positioning the country as a key transportation hub in Central and Eastern Europe.
Mr. Czernicki highlighted the key components of the program, including the development of approximately 500 km of new high-speed rail lines in the first stage, the integration of rail and air transport, and the creation of a modern airport designed to handle around 32 million passengers in its first full year of operation, with further growth expected in the following decades.
