The idea for the 'Supply Chain Due Diligence' EU Directive has been discussed lately. Some EU countries started to introduce their own legislation covering that area. This, together with other external factors, speeds up the EU process, which will undoubtedly lead to the introduction of the mandatory due diligence of supply chains. The scope of legislation reaches far beyond today's practices and will affect operations and strategic planning of each company, in the coming years.
AmCham Industry Committee launches a series of meetings dedicated to supply chains issues. We are planning to cover all the areas of interest for AmCham members.

'Tackling legal risks related to supply chain requires a comprehensive approach that covers a wide range of national and international legal acts. The aim of the meeting is to name these risks and offer solutions regarding their management. The particular focus would be placed on antidumping, sanctions and product regulation rules.
The comments regarding existing legislation will be supplemented by presenting proposals of new EU legislation applicable to supply chain due diligence that is based on ESG principles.'- says Paweł Matej, DLA Piper.
