‘How do you ESG’? A learning and experience exchange session by AmCham Kraków and AmCham Sustainability Committee

What is the common denominator for all who gathered last Friday at the AmCham Kraków and AmCham Sustainability Committee meeting hosted in the GE HealthCare office in Kraków? Their curiosity mixed with dedication and often a passion to Environmental, Social, and Governance efforts and achievements of AmCham member companies!
At the event led by Mateusz Jurczyk, AmCham Kraków & Katowice Director land Mariusz Wawer, Chair of AmCham Sustainability Committee, Director of Governmental Affairs & ESG, 3M, last Friday, April 26, we created space for companies to present their ESG achievements and strategies. The presentations of Sarah Vercammen, GE HealthCare, Zofia Piwowarek, Santander, Michał Czernek, DigitalCare, Agnieszka Dabrowska, Lufthansa Group, Mariusz Wawer, 3M and Anna Papka, Shell proved the importance of the topic for companies across different sectors and business models but also showed various ways to achieve ESG goals depending.
The expert panel of Aleksandra Majda and Anna Kornecka (both) ESG Impact Network and Zofia Piwowarek and Mariusz Wawer (in their second roles!) that followed highlighted the most critical issues raised in the presentations and focused on finding the right balance between genuine efforts that companies take and #greenwashig, touched green financing and the state of ESG implementation among Polish SMEs.
