On October 28, 2025, AmCham Travel & Tourism Committee met to discuss evolution of travel insurance programs and key business travel to watch in 2026. Our guest speakers, Michał Borowski, Health & Benefit Senior Claims Specialist, and Jacek Kudlek, Health & Benefit Broker, from AON Poland, provided some characteristics and statistics of the insurance market, followed by practical part, including key things to know before purchasing an insurance policy, pre-trip checklist, and examples of claims.
Looking at the insurance market perspectives, we need to be aware of not only traditional travel risks, as travel disruptions, property protection, physical safety and security, which are still prevalent, but new also have in mind new risks that have emerged, like political unrest, terrorism or the spread of misinformation.
As travelling has become more accessible for all and global challenges underscore the importance of health and safety, the travel insurance market is set for dynamic growth. We are not looking for protection anymore, but we seek policies and travel strategies that align with our style of travelling and meet our security needs.
