In April 2021, the European Commission adopted a Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive proposal that changes the existing requirements of the EU's Non-Financial Reporting Directive. The main changes include significant extension of the group of companies subject to the reporting obligation (all large companies, over 3600 enterprises in Poland), the obligation to report under the EU reporting standards and mandatory audit of sustainability data.

On behalf of the AmCham Sustainability Committee, we invite you to a meeting entitled Next Steps for a Sustainable European Future - Changes in Obligations Concerning Reporting of Sustainable Development Issues.

We will present:

  1. Changes in sustainability reporting obligations - implications for AmCham member companies – Ph.D. Aleksandra Stanek-Kowalczyk, the owner of the SAPERE (a consulting company) and Assistant Professor at the Warsaw School of Economics;
  2. Sustainability reporting guidelines – Ph.D. Tomasz Karol Wiśniewski, Manager, Warsaw Stock Exchange;
  3. Best practices & challenges in reporting – discussion AmCham member companies.

The meeting will be moderated by Mr. Mariusz Wawer, Head of Governmental Relations & Sustainability at 3M East Europe and will take place on Thursday, August 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
