EVENT DETAILS
As the EU Pay Transparency Directive approaches implementation, this is an ideal moment to reflect on the lessons learned, as well as the opportunities and risks associated with these initiatives.
On Tuesday, March 31, we had the pleasure of hosting Karolina Gebura-Nowak, CIA, Director People & Culture, Poland and Baltic States from Philip Morris International, who shared valuable insights on building an effective job and skills architecture, with a strong focus on promoting equal opportunities and ensuring pay transparency.
Key points from the discussion included the importance of establishing a clear and transparent framework for defining roles, competencies, and compensation across the organization. Particular attention was given to addressing gender-related disparities, especially the wage gap linked to maternity leave. It was also emphasized that pay gaps are not solely a women’s issue, as they can affect individuals of all genders.
Participants highlighted the importance of conducting regular audits and aligning organizational practices with the EU Pay Transparency Directive to ensure fairness and regulatory compliance. Leadership development also emerged as a critical theme, particularly in managing age-diverse teams effectively and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
