Yesterday, we hosted AmCham April Monthly Meeting with Andrzej Dycha, Chairman of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) .
Tony Housh, AmCham Chairman, stated the the goal of the meeting was to discuss investment and “how to attract it, how to maintain it, how to expand it, and ensure it has long lasting deep impact for Poland and its society.” Tony underlined that Poland, currently, has tremendous opportunity to grow, but there are still some challenges that we need to keep in mind to lead to our country’s economic success. He said that we should show investors that “Poland is the right place to be.”
Mr. Dycha agreed with Tony and reminded us about the importance of strong transatlantic ties. He also talked about how to draw investment and said that “If you want to attract new investors, take care of those that are already there.” He was happy to state that Germany, France, and highest developed countries are Poland’s competition when it comes to allocating investment in the region. Together with Mr. Dycha we discussed the important of cooperation and communication between business and government, and also between investors and government. He also said that it is crucial to smartly and swiftly implement EU regulations. We touched upon the topic of rebuilding Ukraine.
