AmCham Poland became a signatory of the Declaration of Support for Women's Economic Empowerment. This accomplishment reaffirms our continued commitment to fostering gender equality and promoting diversity in all aspects of our operations since endorsing this groundbreaking Declaration.
Following the signing of the declaration, dr Barbara Stepnowska, FRSA, AmCham Branch Director Gdańsk, has been appointed as the Educational Lead. Barbara’s role will be pivotal in supporting AmCham's Education and EmpowerHer initiatives, which are in line with the Declaration of Support for Women's Economic Empowerment, as well as the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
Few months ago, AmCham initiated this program with a discussion panel held in cooperation with the Ambassador of the United States to Poland, Mark Brzezinski. The discussion focused on addressing the gender gap in tech industry. The speakers were: Jolanta Jaworska, IBM; Marta Poslad, Google; and Michał Dżoga, Intel Corporation. Together, the panelists explored ways to encourage more women to apply for tech-related positions and challenges they face in tech-industry. The special guests included the finalists and jurors of the prestigious Rising Star in Cybersecurity program.
AmCham Poland strongly advocates for the strengthening of partnerships with American companies in Poland, with the common goal of nurturing a business landscape that values diversity and gender equality throughout the entire economic ecosystem.
