On the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gdańsk, AmCham Poland, together with American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, hosted a High-Level Networking Reception as part of the AmCham Poland & AmCham Ukraine Defense Investment Forum. 🇵🇱🇺🇦🇺🇸
The event was opened by Marta Poslad, Chairwoman of AmCham Poland, and Andy Hunder, President of AmCham Ukraine, bringing together more than 300 participants from business, government, international institutions, finance, and the defense sector.
The program created a platform for strategic dialogue on Ukraine’s security, resilience, and long-term recovery, with a strong focus on defense industrial cooperation, technology integration, and investment in defense innovation and industrial development.
As part of the Forum, participants joined two panel discussions dedicated to these key areas, featuring representatives of the private and public sector, including Paweł Kowal, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Polish Sejm; Colonel Serhii Matveychuk, Deputy Head of the Administration of the State Transport Special Service under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine; and Jan Rekiel, CFA, Head of International Reinsurance, KUKE. Panel discussions were moderated by Andy Hunder, President of AmCham Ukraine, and Honorata Hencel, Managing Director, Poland & Ukraine, Boeing.
We were honored to hear keynote addresses from Spencer Chretien, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs; Marlena Hurley, Deputy Vice President, Political Risk & Reinsurance at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation; Brendan Nelson, President of The Boeing Company Global; Alexander McWhorter, Vice Chair of the AmCham Ukraine Board of Directors and Citi Ukraine Country Officer; and Lenna Koszarny, Chair of the AmCham Ukraine Board of Directors and Founding Partner & CEO of Horizon Capital.
The event concluded with a networking reception, providing an opportunity for representatives of American companies, AmCham Poland and AmCham Ukraine members, public sector leaders, and international partners to exchange perspectives, build connections, and discuss opportunities for cooperation in support of Ukraine’s recovery and future growth.
