EVENT DETAILS

Last Thursday, we gave our Kraków stage to women - and the room filled beyond capacity.
What started as a plan of Anna Zemła (GE HealthCare) and Mateusz Jurczyk, (AmCham) for a small conversation about major business trends from a women’s perspective quickly turned into something much bigger.
The result:
🔹 10 outstanding panelists
🔹 3 moderated discussions
🔹 A packed room and powerful exchange of ideas about AI, leadership, and the future of work

Because the event was hosted by GE HealthCare, we couldn't miss the opportunity to begin with a discussion on AI inhelathcare featuring Grazyna Rubis-Liolios (GE HealthCare), Tetyana Yurkovska (Discovery Life Sciences), andEmilia Lopacz (Cytiva).
One word kept returning: TRUST
Trust between doctors and technology.
Trust from patients toward AI-powered therapies.
Trust built on high-quality data, which ultimately drives AI decisions.
But it starts even earlier — with leaders building organizational trust in AI by embedding it deeply into real business processes.

Our second panel explored AI adoption in organizations, bringing perspectives from Gretchen Cureton (U.S. Consulate General in Krakow), Marilin Perez-Mazan (Motorola Solutions), Agnieszka Maciaszek (Woodward Poland), and Aga Swiatowa (Women in Big Data Poland).
Despite rapid technological progress, one conclusion stood out:
The “protein factor” — the human element — remains essential.
Technology is evolving fast, but the fundamentals of leadership and change management remain the same.

In the final discussion, we looked at AI’s impact on the Shared Service Centers and the future of Kraków’s business ecosystem.
Aneta Pilch (Symmetria Partners) opened with a strong message:
👉  “Let’s stop doing nothing.”
Other panelists Joanna Janusz, IBM and Dominika Walec PhD, Urząd Miasta Krakowa / Invest in Krakow agreed: technological acceleration is already reshaping the sector — and growth will require breaking old patterns.
Key takeaways:
✔ Focus on business outcomes, not just speed
✔ Be ready to take ownership and make decisions
✔ Make technology work with us — not instead of us

Two questions stayed with us after the event:
💡 If many employees don’t trust AI outputs, is this part of the adoption process — or do we still need to learn how to ask better questions?
💡 If women tend to trust AI less, is it healthy skepticism — or simply lower exposure to these tools?
Definitely food for thought.

Huge thanks to our fantastic GE HealthCare moderators: Edyta Krawczyk-Król, Oksana Koss, and Monika Lux - Huserik, and to the entire GE HealthCare team for hosting and organizing the event.
Special thanks to Lukasz Domoradzki, GE HealthCare, for supporting the events idea, and Agata Grab and Monika Chudzikiewicz  for your work behind the scenes
