AmCham inquiry on the Polish Government’s position concerning the withdrawal of SF6 from use in electrical equipment

AmCham member companies are focused on innovation, sustainable development and support transparent and proportionate regulations at the EU and Polish level to use more sustainable technologies, thus ensuring immediate environmental impact and effective policy implementation.

Considering the above and the legislative work carried out by the European Commission, AmCham asked about the Polish Government’s position on the withdrawal of SF6 from use in electrical equipment under the European Union regulation on fluorinated greenhouse gases. SF6 is considered the most potent greenhouse gas with a global warming potential of 23,500 times that of CO2.
