How to Protect Intellectual Property Effectively

On June 17 AmCham organized the second part of a meeting entitled How to Protect Intellectual Property Effectively. This time we have focused on the procedural issues and have discussed what actions could increase the effectiveness of such activities. Some of them include special training for government officials, stricter controls at the borders, or more specialized courts or law enforcement authorities. Our speakers underlined that counterfeited goods, besides financial losses for producers, are also dangerous for our health and security.

Thank you to DLA PiperKrystian Maciaszek, Counsel; Alicja Wolny, and Aleksandra Wrońska, Associates, for the initiative to develop this topic and Cezary Sowiński, Public Policy Manager, Amazon, and Artur Wojciechowski, Customs & Treasury Services Office, Ministry of Finance for their presentations.
