EVENT DETAILS
As organizations become increasingly global, successful collaboration depends on more than speaking the same language – it requires understanding how culture shapes communication, trust, decision-making, and workplace relationships.
On behalf of the AmCham HR Committee, we invite you to a webinar entitled Beyond ‘Yes’: Building Strong Partnerships with Indian Teams.
Our speaker will be Marta Leszczynska from ETTA. Go Global, Learning & Development Leader, Intercultural Trainer, and Facilitator with over 15 years of experience in designing and delivering leadership and professional development programs for global organizations.
During the webinar, we will explore the cultural dynamics that influence day-to-day collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders in India. Rather than relying on stereotypes, the session draws on cross-cultural research and practical business experience to explain why misunderstandings occur and how they can be prevented.
We will discuss:
• the key cultural differences and similarities between the U.S. and India that influence workplace collaboration;
• how communication styles affect cooperation;
• the role of hierarchy and its impact on decision-making, ownership, and escalation;
• how trust is built in Indian business culture and what strengthens long-term collaboration;
• how American communication and leadership styles may be perceived by Indian colleagues;
• practical techniques for reducing misunderstandings and improving day-to-day cooperation.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, September 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. We encourage you to visit the AmCham office, Spektrum, ul. Twarda 18, 16th floor (live tickets are limited to 30 people; for those registering live, please click the live ticket). If you prefer to attend the meeting online, you will receive a Webex link before the event.
