EVENT DETAILS
Future Workforce for Modern Industry was the topic of yesterday’s debate organized by the AmCham Industry Committee, which brought together representatives of leading manufacturing companies from various sectors and public administration.
For many years, American companies have actively cooperated with technical and vocational schools as well as local governments across Poland, supporting technical education and engaging in building a skilled workforce for modern industry. As AmCham, we are proud to support these initiatives by fostering cooperation and dialogue with representatives of public administration at both regional and national levels.
During the discussion, we explored:
• How the expectations of modern manufacturing companies toward graduates are evolving in the era of automation and digitalization, and what trends and challenges can be anticipated in the coming years;
• How American investors are partnering with technical schools and universities to build future competencies among students and young professionals;
• How government and local initiatives can further support the development of technical education in Poland, as well as reinforce corporate programs aimed at upskilling employees.
The debate featured numerous inspiring examples of best practices implemented by American companies in the regions where they operate, as well as proposals and initiatives that, through open dialogue with the public sector, can help address these challenges at both local and national levels.
he discussion was moderated by Mariusz Wawer, Co-Chair of the Industry Committee, and Mateusz Jurczyk, AmCham.
We were joined by outstanding speakers, including Andrzej Czarnecki (Pratt & Whitney), Wojciech Zakrzewski (Emerson), Maciej Filarecki (Flex), Marcin Wieloch (3M SuperHub), Ewa Fiedor (Amazon), Kamil Sadowniczyk (ManpowerGroup), Marcin Szybiak (Beko Poland & Baltics), Paulina Glugla and Sebastian Porebski (Mondelēz International), Kinga Jabłonowska-Hieronimczuk (Rockwell Automation), and Iwona Uchnast (XEOS / GE Aerospace).
