Representatives of AmCham Poland's Industry Committee participated in the 4th US-CEE Connection Weekend, hosted at the historic Collegium Novum of the Jagiellonian University. The event brought together business leaders, policymakers, and experts from Poland, Europe, and the United States to discuss the future of transatlantic cooperation and industrial development.

One of the key sessions, "Reindustrializing Europe: Lessons from the US and EU on Competitiveness and Manufacturing," explored how Poland and Europe can strengthen their industrial competitiveness, resilience, and strategic autonomy while remaining closely connected to global markets.

The panel featured representatives of industry, government, business, and legal sectors, including Piotr Rosikowski (PONAR Wadowice), Sharayah Heidenhain (U.S. Consulate General), Elwira Kelly (Moog Inc.), Weronika Duda (Kochański & Partners), and Mariusz Wawer, representing 3M and the AmCham Poland Industry Committee. The moderator of the panel was Mateusz Jurczyk, AmCham.

The discussion highlighted several priorities for strengthening Europe's manufacturing base, including the need for predictable regulatory frameworks that encourage long-term investment, strategic public investment in clean energy and resilient infrastructure, stronger public-private collaboration to accelerate industrial digitalization and automation, and continued investment in workforce development and technical skills.

Participants also emphasized the importance of combining Europe's regulatory strengths with the innovation-driven approach of the United States to build a more agile, competitive, and resilient industrial ecosystem capable of responding to global economic and technological challenges.

The session reaffirmed the value of transatlantic dialogue and cooperation in shaping policies that support sustainable industrial growth, innovation, and investment across Europe.
