EVENT DETAILS

On behalf of the AmCham Real Estate Committee, we invite you to a meeting entitled New real estate tax – opportunities and threats after the first year of the new regulations.

Our guests will be Adam Kałążny, PhD, Legal Counsel, and Mateusz Gębarowski, Manager, Tax Department/Real Estate Team from Deloitte, and we will discuss:

  • The impact of new regulations governing real estate tax from January 1, 2025: new definitions and practice of tax authorities.
  • The practical significance of new definitions of buildings, structures and permanent connections to land on settlements with local tax authorities.
  • The role of general interpretations of the Ministry of Finance and administrative court rulings on the amount of annual real estate tax.
  • Unobvious threats arising from the potential need to tax expensive assets such as transformers, process tanks and technological lines.
  • Case study: how one taxpayer recovered a PLN 14 million overpayment.
  • New investments and their correct settlement in the context of financial planning (representative examples include energy storage facilities and data centers).

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  We encourage you to visit the AmCham office, Spektrum, ul. Twarda 18, 16th floor (live tickets are limited to 25 people; for those registering live, we ask you to click the live ticket). The Webex link will be sent to all online attendees one day before the event.
