EVENT DETAILS
A new Act on the National Labor Inspectorate (PIP) introduces significant changes to the enforcement of labor law in Poland. While the purpose is to increase the effectiveness of inspections and enhance the protection of workers, the lack of clear criteria raises concerns among employers, who believe that the proposed regulations are too broad and may violate the freedom of contract.
On behalf of the AmCham HR Committee, we invite you to a meeting entitled Independent contractors or employees? New powers of Labor Inspectorate promise to shift the paradigm.
During the meeting, our guest experts from an AmCham law firm PCS, Robert Stępień and Marcin Sanetra, will answer all your questions regarding:
1) new rules for reclassifying B2B and civil contracts as employment contracts;
2) employment, tax, and social security implications for companies;
3) broader powers of the Labor Inspectorate, and increased fines and liabilities;
4) expected impact on international businesses operating in Poland and CEE;
5) ways to prepare for audits and heightened scrutiny.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
We encourage you to visit the AmCham office, Spektrum, ul. Twarda 18, 16th floor (live tickets are limited to 20 people, for those registering live, we ask to click the live ticket). The Webex link will be sent to all online attendees one day before the event.
