EVENT DETAILS
When was the last time you saw steel being manufactured with your own eyes? Our members who attended this week’s AmCham Industry & Energy Committee meeting had that unique opportunity during a visit to the CMC Poland Steel Plant in Zawiercie.
Thank you to Wojciech Więcławik, President of the Management Board and General Director at CMC Poland, for the opportunity and for delivering a detailed and insightful opening presentation. CMC Poland’s unique business model makes it one of the largest electricity consumers in the country. It’s no coincidence, then, that following the plant tour, the Committee held a session to review and refine AmCham’s energy priorities—this time, from the off-taker’s perspective. Jerzy Kozicz, Government Relations Director at CMC Poland and Co-Chair of the Industry & Energy Committee, and Mateusz Jurczyk, who coordinates the Committee, presented the updated priorities.
Our common goal remains unchanged: to support the growth and sustainability of American industrial investment in Poland by ensuring access to safe, reliable, diversified, affordable, and clean energy for both existing and prospective investors. At the same time, the evolving political and business landscape requires us to continuously adapt the roadmap and specific actions to achieve that goal.
Thank you to everyone who made the effort to join us in Zawiercie. A special thanks to the delegation from the U.S. Consulate, including Erin N., Sharayah Heidenhein, and Marek Guzik, for joining us on Tuesday.
