On February 19, 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting our February Monthly Meeting with Mr. Michal Baranowski, the newly appointed Undersecretary of State at the Ministerstwo Rozwoju i Technologii (Ministry of Economic Development and Technology).
Marta Poslad, Chairwoman of AmCham, welcomed our guest and introduced Minister Baranowski, a long-time friend of AmCham. She also emphasized that “Standing together as a community has never been more important.”
Following Marta’s introduction, Minister Baranowski shared his thoughts with the group. He welcomed Marta in her new role and expressed his appreciation for the strong and positive relationship between AmCham and his ministry. He also highlighted the significance of the transatlantic partnership in these challenging times and underscored our collective responsibility as an AmCham community to keep this bond strong.
Our discussion covered a range of topics, including international trade, security, Poland’s presidency of the EU Council, and fostering innovation within our country. We also touched on Ukraine and the tariffs imposed during the Trump administration.
Minister Baranowski responded to several audience questions regarding the Ministry’s key priorities, the role of business in fostering innovation, and the continued importance of the transatlantic partnership during these turbulent times.
