In addition to our October 2nd Monthly Meeting we are pleased to invite you to a special meeting with Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance.
August and September are times in Polish politics when issues surrounding public finances attract far more media and public attention than usual. This is largely due to the release of the draft state budget, which marks the culmination of many months of government work. This year’s budget proposal is particularly significant, as it is the first one fully prepared by the new government. It balances ambitious financing for key priorities—especially national security and social programs—with a record deficit, sparking even greater public interest.
However, the state budget is just one of many pressing issues under the Ministry of Finance that can directly impact foreign investors in Poland. Ongoing reforms, such as changes to excise duties and local government financing, have the potential to reshape the investment climate and business opportunities.
AmCham is also eager to explore the Ministry of Finance’s plans and potential incentives for businesses and foreign investors that could strengthen the Polish budget and drive economic growth. Understanding the government’s investment strategies will be crucial to maintaining and enhancing Poland’s global competitiveness.
The upcoming October Monthly Meeting will provide an excellent opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on these critical topics, including the state of Polish public finances, potential tax reforms, and the future development of Polish and European capital markets. These issues are especially relevant to foreign investors looking to navigate Poland’s evolving fiscal and regulatory environment.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 9th, 12:00-13:30 at the Warsaw Presidential Hotel (former Marriott).
We invite 2 guest per company (members only).
