On May 20, 2024, in cooperation with CMS, we organized Industry & Energy Committee meeting entitled “How to Secure Green and Cheap Energy - cPPA Agreements and Other Instruments.”
At the beginning of the meeting, we had a pleasure to listen to presentations by representatives of CMS’ Energy and Infrastructure Department - Angelika Szufel, Counsel; Piotr Prawda, Counsel; Kacper Stanosz & Adam Kędziora, Senior Associates - who introduced us to the cPPA and ESG requirements for green energy.
After that we held a panel discussion “How to Secure Cheap and Green Energy”. Under moderation of Piotr Ciołkowski, Partner, CMS, we discussed with our speakers - Jerzy Kozicz, Co-Chair of AmCham Industry & Energy Committee, CMC POLAND; Magdalena Hilghner, Head of Energy Department, Play; Arkadiusz Zieleźny, CEO, ORLEN Energia - the nuances of cPPA. We delved into ways of securing power in safe and effective way, and difficulties associated with the process, including war in Ukraine. We also talked about green, reasonably priced energy and advanced solutions that might help companies to achieve their energy goals. Additionally, we touched upon the issue of Polish regulatory framework and how this matter influences the companies when it comes to their approach to power.
