EVENT DETAILS
On January 10, 2024, we hosted our first Monthly Meeting of 2024 entitled “Economic & Business Outlook for 2024.” What a great start of the year it was - over 100 AmCham members attended!
Tony Housh, AmCham Chairman, opened the meeting and welcomed all the guests and introduced the panelists: Dominika Bettman, General Manager, Microsoft Poland; Geoff Gottlieb, Senior Regional Representative for the Office for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, International Monetary Fund; and Adam Czerniak, Director for Research and Chief Economist, Polityka Insight.
Under moderation of Tony Housh, our panelists discussed prospects for 2024 for our country, U.S. – Polish cooperation, and the near-future challenges that businesses and foreign investors active in the Polish market will face. The conversation covered various aspects of not only Polish, but also European and global economic landscape. Our guests discussed the global financial crisis and post-pandemic challenges while emphasising inflation risks and importance of monetary councils, and Poland’s unique, and favourable, economic course. We also delved into the role of technology in solving challenges and intricacies of business profitability.
Thank you to all who participated in this meeting – your input elevated the discussion and once again proved that AmCham is a space co-created by our members.
Special thanks to the Warsaw Marriott Hotel for the impeccable organisation and delicious food.
