Compulsory evaluation of effectiveness of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects, obtaining an opinion on the legitimacy of a project carried out under this formula, a PPP test for projects valued at more than PLN 300 million – these are just some of the changes introduced by a recent act signed by the President of Poland. On November 27, AmCham organized a meeting on Changes in the Public-Private Partnership Law- Opportunities and Challenges. Our speaker was Ms. Marta Fredrych, Associate from Baker & McKenzie and we discussed main amendments to the PPP law and their impact on future projects, legal and regulatory framework and sources of financing and bankability and upcoming large scale PPP projects in Poland.
