It was our pleasure to invite you to our February Monthly Meeting with guest speakers, the President of the Polish Development Fund, Mr. Paweł Borys and the new World Bank Country Manager for Poland and the Baltic States, Mr. Carlos Piñerúa.
The Polish Development Fund was established in April 2016 as a State-owned financial group whose goal is to fill the market gaps in financing and to reach the places where it is difficult to obtain financing in the private sector. The World Bank has for many years helped in developing the Polish economy by providing a contribution to financial sector policy debates through its recommendations and reports. The presence of both institutions’ high level representatives will give us a unique opportunity to discuss the global market trends, current economic situation in the region and the financial tools designed to support the development of investments in Poland.
What does the Polish Development Fund have to offer other than what is already available on the Polish market? What will be new incentives for business in Poland declared by the Fund? What are economic prospects for emerging markets and developing economies? What is behind the weaknesses in investment growth in CEE countries? And last but not least: What will be the impact of Donald Trump presidential victory on global markets?
Watch our February Monthly Meeting to hear about these and other issues directly from the President of the Polish Development Fund, Mr. Paweł Borys and the World Bank Country Manager for Poland and the Baltic States, Mr. Carlos Piñerúa.
