Kancelaria CMS otrzymała prestiżową nagrodę dla najlepszego doradcy prawnego na rynku transakcyjnym przyznawaną przez Polskie Stowarzyszenia Inwestorów Kapitałowych (PSIK).  Najlepszy doradca prawny wyłaniany jest w głosowaniu członków PSIK czyli funduszy private equity, venture capital, banków oraz doradców inwestycyjnych.

Wyróżnienie ze strony środowiska private equity odzwierciedla skalę działalności i profil transakcji obsługiwanych przez prawników kancelarii CMS w Polsce oraz w regionie Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej, kompleksowość oferowanego doradztwa prawnego oraz rozpoznawalność i reputację zespołu transakcyjnego.

W ostatnim roku kancelaria CMS po raz kolejny doradzała przy największej liczbie transakcji fuzji i przejęć zawartych w Polsce. Prawnicy transakcyjni CMS doradzali w sumie przy 18 fuzjach i przejęciach przeprowadzonych w Polsce w 2018 r.

W Polsce w ostatnim roku zespół ten pracował m.in. przy takich transakcjach jak sprzedaż PKL S.A. przez Mid Europa Partners – transakcji, która znalazła się wśród czterech nominowanych do nagrody PSIK w kategorii „Transakcja Roku”, nabyciu spółki Emperia Holding S.A., właściciela sieci sklepów Stokrotka przez Maxima Grupe, transakcję powiązaną z późniejszym delistingiem spółki. CMS pracowała także dla funduszy private equity, w tym m.in. Abris Capital Partners, V4C, Coast2Coast, czy Advent International. 

Zespół transakcyjny CMS w Polsce liczy obecnie około 30 prawników i uznawany jest za jedną z wiodących praktyk w Polsce w międzynarodowych rankingach Chambers & Partners oraz Legal 500 (druga pozycja w zestawieniach). Marek Sawicki, partner zarządzający zespołem w Warszawie, zakwalifikowany został przez Chambers & Partners oraz Legal500 do najwyższej grupy Band/Tier 1 w ramach nominacji indywidualnych w kategorii Private Equity. Również w kategorii PE, kancelaria CMS uznawana za jedną z najlepszych firm prawniczych w Polsce (Band 2) oraz najlepszą firmę prawniczą w Europie Środkowo – Wschodniej w kategorii Corporate/M&A (Band 1).

 

CMS is the Legal Advisor of the Year on the transaction market in Poland

CMS has won a prestigious award for the best legal advisor on the transaction market, awarded by Polish Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (PSIK). The best legal advisor is selected through a vote by PSIK members, i.e. private equity funds, venture capital, banks and investment advisors.

The award granted by the private equity community reflects the scale of operations and the profile of transactions in which CMS lawyers assisted in Poland in the CEE region, the complexity of the offered legal advisory services as well as the recognisability and reputation of the transaction team.

In 2018, CMS another time advised in the largest number of M&A transactions entered into in Poland. Furthermore, the Warsaw transaction team was two times more often selected by clients to assist in M&A deals than the subsequent law firm ranked within the 2018 Mergermarket report. CMS transaction lawyers advised in a total of 18 M&A transactions handled in Poland in 2018.

Last year in Poland, CMS lawyers advised on such transactions as the sale of Polish cableway operator PKL S.A. by Mid Europa Partners, which transaction was one of the four nominees to win the PSIK award in the “Transaction of the Year” category, the acquisition of Emperia Holding S.A., owner of the Stokrotka grocery chain, by Maxima Grupe, combined with the company’s subsequent delisting. CMS has also worked for private equity funds such as Abris Capital Partners, V4C, Coast2Coast, and Advent International. 

The CMS transaction team in Poland currently consists of approximately 30 lawyers and is regarded as one of Poland’s leading practices by international ranking agencies Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 (second position in the listings). Marek Sawicki, Partner leading the Warsaw team, is graded by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 in the highest Band/Tier 1 in individual rankings in the Private Equity category. CMS is also recognised as one of Poland’s best law firms in PE (Band 2) and the best law firm in CEE in the Corporate/M&A category (Band 1).
