Feb. 11, 2020 - The Government Policy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Poland

On Feb. 11, 2021, the AmCham Digital Economy Committee organized a meeting with Mr. Aleksander Łożykowski, Director of the Income Taxes Department of the Ministry of Finance and Ms. Ilona Gromadka, Head of the Innovation and Investment Support Program Department.

We have discussed tax and financial incentives for entrepreneurs implementing new technologies and how businesses could be engaged in Poland's Artificial Intelligence development process.

As was stressed during the meeting, the development of Artificial Intelligence in Poland is based (among others) on recruiting worldwide leading talents to Poland. Attracting such talent can be done by simplifying the immigration requirements for non-European talents or encouraging Poles to return to Poland by providing them attractive tax incentives.

The Ministry has been working on these issues, and some legislative proposals are expected to appear this year.
