AmCham at the American Day in Silesia (January 26, 2017)

The American Day in Silesia was held on January 26, 2017 at the International Congress Center in Katowice. The event was organized by the PTWP Group in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Katowice.

The conference brought together experts from business, local governments and investors to discuss political and economic changes, challenges and opportunities from both the global and regional perspective.

The panelists discussed the new world situation after the US presidential elections, the meaning of this political change in the US for Poland and Central Europe, and the opportunities for economic cooperation between the US and Poland. 

The speakers included: Walter Braunohler, US Consul General in Kraków; Bogumił Sobula, Deputy Mayor of Katowice; Roman Rewald, Board Member, AmCham, Małgorzata Dziembała, Department of Economic Relations, University of Economics in Katowice; Tomasz Zjawiony, Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Katowice; Paweł Pietrasieński, Polish-American Chamber of Commerce in Nevada; Joanna Bensz, Vice Chairman Board of Directors, AmCham; Grzegorz Dobranowski, IBM Poland and Baltics; Jerzy Kozicz, CMC Poland; Marcin Nowak, Capgemini Eastern Europe, Paweł Wideł, General Motors and Jacek Ziarno, Nowy Przemysł, Dorota Dabrowski, American Chamber of Commerce in Poland, Tadeusz Donocik, Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Katowice and Wojciech Kuśpik, PTWP Group.
