Monthly Meeting with Mateusz Morawiecki (March 2, 2016)

The timing of this meeting could not be better – on Tuesday (17th of February) Minister Morawiecki announced a five-pillar economic roadmap for the country over the coming years, called the “Morawiecki Plan”. The plan calls for a total of one trillion PLN to be invested in key industries throughout the next 25 years. The goal is to build and strengthen so-called Polish Champions, improve the efficiency of administration with digitalization as a core tool in this process, narrow the gap between Poland and the most developed countries and, finally, escape the middle income trap. According to the plan, foreign investors are invited to Poland particularly in the terms of innovation and there will be incentives for international companies, especially those that bring considerable value added.

How will the “Morawiecki Plan” be put to action? Which sectors have the most to gain? What are potential risks?

Watch our March Monthly Meeting to hear about these and other issues directly from the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development and member of the Council for Innovation, Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki.
