The American Chamber of Commerce in Poland will be at the Economic Forum in Krynica next week with our AmCham Diner – the best meeting place in Krynica!
The AmCham Diner will have a rich program of panel discussions, debates and interviews with leading representatives of business and government.
AmCham also has three panels as part of the Forum Program where we will discuss the most important issues for U.S. – Poland relations and foreign investors in Poland, including the impact of U.S. companies on Polish economy, innovative solutions, new technology, digital economy, and transatlantic business relationships.

The IGF Poland-Digital Development Forum together with the Secretary of State, the Government Plenipotentiary for Digital Single Market, Krzysztof Szubert and Igor Ostrowski, AmCham’s Digital Economy Committee Co-Chairman, has organized a meeting on July 12 in the Ministry of Digital Affairs for those who would like to join the Internet Governance Forum. The IGF is a multi-stakeholder platform under the United Nations that facilitates the discussion of public policy issues pertaining to the Internet. AmCham invites you to actively co-create this year’s program.
The Committee members emphasized that the most important value of the IGF is to gather around the Internet for all those willing to cooperate regardless of the environment they represent. At the meeting, we have learnt about the upcoming opening of the workshop competition at this year's conference IGF Poland, which will take place on 21 November.
The program of this year's conference will consist of workshops selected in an open competition. Anyone interested in Internet management can submit a proposal. The link through which you can submit your proposals to the2017 Central European internet Governance Forum is available at the IGF Poland website, where a special electronic form is posted on the "Report Workshop" tab [English version is also available]. In the same place you will find all the information and instructions you need. Please send your proposals by August 16th. Offers can cover a wide range of topics – artificial intelligence or open algorithms, as well as digital economy, accessibility, cyber security, privacy and personal information, and media education.
On June 27, 2017 AmCham Defense & Security Committee organized a meeting with Mr. Peter Doran, Executive Vice President for CEPA (Center for European Policy Analysis), a non-profit policy institute, with offices in Washington and Warsaw, dedicated to promote economically strong and strategically secure Central Eastern Europe with close ties to the United States. Our guest is a recognized expert on Russia and Ukraine, transatlantic defense and energy security. He served as a Foreign Affairs Fellow in the U.S. Congress and as a George C. Marshall Fellow at the Heritage Foundation. We discussed transatlantic defense issues, US defense corps involvement in Europe, sanctions policy towards Russia and Polish defense policy.
